1995 A.D.M. 6x14 Sheoak block snare, on the Sleishman free-floating system.
I'd always said that this is the drum that has prevented me from buying any
other jarrah snare drums, until Kelly Brady at Brady Drums told me it wasn't
jarrah - about 9 years after I bought it.
So - my Drum Solo jarrah snare drum is on Page 3.
Spirit 6.5x13 ironwood, shell bored out of a log. One of my favorite 13"
snare drums.

"Nick Amoroso Custom" 5x14 maple, D.W. 10+6 shell. The one and only drum
i've ever built. Ross Garfield (the "drum doctor") did the edges, but the
rest is all me. Finished in Slingerland's bluish white marine pearl. Gretsch
lugs, Ludwig throw-off and butt, and Pearl die-cast hoops (what a mutt!).
My tech says it's a great-sounding drum. It would probably sound a lot
better if it had snare beds of any kind.
Ayotte 6x14 maple snare drum.
Thirty plies worth.
Don't believe me? Look closely. Thing weighs a ton.
Mid-30's Ludwig & Ludwig 6x14, in
original (yellowed) white marine pearl.
Mid-50's W.F.L. 6x14, in (non-original) black diamond pearl.
W.F.L. 6.5x14 nickel-over-brass;
don't know the time period.
Found in a church attic.
Great for that "STP's first record" sound.
2003 Dunnett 6.5x13 stainless, with Dunnett cold-rolled steel hoops. No
other snare drum I own sounds more funky.
Woodstock 5x13 hickory stave,
with Stanbridge Hickory hoops.
More crack than any plumber I know.
Early-50's W.F.L. 6x14, in original Gold Glass Glitter.
A great ballad drum.
1994 Ludwig 5x14 Black Beauty.
2002 Dunnett 6.5x14 copper, with acid-treated shell.
1966 Ludwig 5x14 Acrolite. Every drummer should have one.
Hell, every drummer
does.
2001 Dunnett 4x14 Titanium. I bought it after hearing Stanton Moore
(Galactic) playing it at a clinic.
One of my favorite snare drums, and I don't really like shallow snare drums
anymore.
